Every September, a plan for career guidance activities and joint events with base schools under the educational program “Training of Music Teachers” is developed, discussed, and approved at the educational program meeting. Based on this plan, systematic career guidance activities are organized in urban and rural schools.
To conduct career guidance activities in schools, lecturers of the specialty are appointed, and their list is submitted to the Pre-University Training Center. Lecturers hold meetings with school students, providing comprehensive information about the specifics of the educational program, the learning process, creative entrance examination requirements, and employment opportunities for graduates.
The responsible lecturer for career guidance activities under the educational program “Training of Music Teachers” is A.Zh. Kenzhegalieva, who organizes this work with a high level of responsibility and actively cooperates with schools. Career guidance activities are carried out in various directions, and lecturers provide consultations on the content of the specialty, future professional fields, and ways to develop creative abilities.
Within the framework of career guidance activities:
- meetings, explanatory sessions, and master classes are organized in urban and rural schools;
- open days for applicants are held;
- requirements and assessment criteria for creative entrance examinations are explained;
- consultations are provided to identify applicants’ vocal, musical-theoretical, and performance abilities;
- informational materials are published on social media and the official university website.
Through close cooperation with urban and rural schools, conditions are created for graduates to make a conscious choice of their future profession. Each lecturer demonstrates responsibility in their work, provides professional advice, and helps students determine their creative direction.
As a result of the conducted career guidance activities, applicants’ interest in the specialty increases, which positively affects the growth in the number of students enrolling in the educational program “Training of Music Teachers”.
