The department "Musical education and vocals" is an integral part of the ZKU them. M. Utemisova. Its activity finds its practical embodiment in the social structure of the university in the broadest aspect.
The active work of the representatives of the department - teachers and students - at various levels, its extensive functionality and a fairly high degree of scientific and creative certification serve as a significant confirmation of this.
The department employs highly qualified teachers with academic and academic degrees, laureates, diploma winners of various competitions and festivals, honored artists of the Republic of Kazakhstan, associate professors: Rakhimova Zh.A., Kuzhakov K.K. , Ph.D. Babenko O.A., Candidate of Art Pogodin S.M., Associate Professor of ZKU, composer Kismetov K.L., masters Utegenova G.E., Kenzhegalieva A.Zh. other.
The teachers of the department annually take part in republican and international conferences, in public and creative events of the university, city and region, improve their performing and teaching skills. Research work is actively carried out, thematic readings, concerts-lectures, scientific works are published. Teachers Vorfolomeeva O.V. and Kismetov K.L. are postgraduate students of the Russian Federation.
The department is graduating in three educational programs: 5В010600 / 6В01404 - "Musical education", 5В040300 / 6В02102 - "Vocal art" and 6M010600 Musical art.
Personnel training EP 5V010600 - "Music Education" has been conducted in ZKU since 1993 to provide specialists from the Western region of Kazakhstan and the republic as a whole in specializations:
- Organization of preschool education and upbringing
- Primary, basic and specialized school
- Specialized school
Graduates of this specialty receive the academic degree "Bachelor of Education in EP 5B010600 / 6B01404 Music Education".
The training is carried out on a full-time basis - 4 years of study, 3 years of accelerated, part-time for persons with secondary specialized education with a duration of 3 years of study (accelerated) in two languages: Kazakh and Russian.
Graduates in this specialty are in demand: they have proven themselves well in socio-cultural and educational institutions of the region (schools), as well as in professional and creative teams of the city, region, countries of near and far abroad (creative associations).
Preparation 5В040300 / 6В02102 - "Vocal art" is carried out in accordance with the comprehensive program of the concept of development of VCU, with a study period of 4 years of full-time study, 3 years and 2 years (accelerated) of distance learning with the qualification of a "Bachelor of Vocal Art" specialization "Chamber Singing" ...
Graduates of this EP are prepared for performing solo chamber and stage activities, teaching vocal disciplines in children's music schools, art schools, secondary specialized educational institutions (music colleges, colleges of art and culture), to work in cultural and educational organizations and associations, on radio and television, in concert organizations.
Personnel training for EP 5V040300 / 6V02102 - "Vocal Art" with the qualification "Chamber Singer" has been conducted at ZKU since 2001 to provide specialists from the Western region of Kazakhstan. Online and individual training of the contingent is conducted in both the state and Russian languages.
The teachers of the department modernize the existing teaching materials, and also create new ones according to the courses introduced into the educational process.
The catalog of compulsory and elective disciplines is updated annually.
An important role in the organization of educational activities is played by textbooks, teaching, teaching aids, issued by the teachers of the department during each academic year.
The teaching staff of the department uses innovative teaching methods. In the educational process of the EP department, active and innovative teaching methods are introduced and used. Among the innovative methods and technologies - the method of creative assignments used in the disciplines of the theoretical cycle, the method of modeling the creative process, the technology of critical thinking. The indicators of the effectiveness of the application of the listed teaching methods are, first of all, the results of the current academic performance, the final state certification of graduates and the degree of their satisfaction with the quality of education.
The university is implementing an educational project "Implementation of innovative technologies in the educational process", within the framework of which a competition of scientific and methodological works of the teaching staff of the university is held annually. The result of innovative and project activities is a real innovative product (electronic textbook, training simulator, innovative training, etc.).

At the meetings of the department, various aspects of the training of an art teacher and services are considered (methodological and staffing of the EP, the quality of teaching, material support, etc.), priority areas in theoretical and practical aspects are discussed; messages are heard about new technologies for teaching EP of the department and the possibility of their use in teaching, etc. At the meetings of the department, the analysis of educational and methodological activities, current progress in the disciplines of the department is regularly carried out. The issue of the provision of the educational process with methodological aids, guidelines and workshops is annually considered.
Control over the implementation of the teaching load of the teaching load is carried out in accordance with the process map "Organization and control of the implementation of training sessions" QMS.07.13. The implementation of educational work is recorded by the teacher in an individual journal by months and semesters. Classes conducted in groups, the subject of the lesson, marks about students absent from the class, points received by students for completing tasks, the rating is recorded daily in the tutor's journal.
Control over the implementation of the study load is carried out by the Department of Academic Activities, about which appropriate entries are made in the journal of disruptions of classes. In the event of a breakdown of the lesson, measures are taken to eliminate this discrepancy: the teacher's lesson is held at a different time or the teacher is replaced in accordance with the replacement list approved by the Vice-Rector for UMR, which is presented by the department.
