The purpose of the educational program:
Training of modern creative designers with professional qualities and a desire for self-education, self-development and self-realization, who own modern design technologies for designing, arranging and decorating the object-spatial environment of a residential and public interior.
The graduate is awarded the academic degree "Bachelor of Arts" in the educational program - "Interior Design".
Bachelors of Arts can hold positions as a leading specialist in interior design, a designer in agencies and organizations of all forms of ownership in accordance with the qualification requirements of the Qualification Directory for the positions of managers, specialists and other employees, approved by order of the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated May 21, 2012 No. 201ө-m.

- Conforms to international standards: subject descriptors, cycle and level of study (eg Dublin descriptors, requirements of accreditation agencies and expectations of strategic partners);
- Focused on the labor market and consumers;

- Integrated with the latest research and innovation in the professional field.
Graduate Qualification Model
A graduate of the educational program Interior Design is methodically and psychologically prepared for changes in the type and nature of his professional activity;
- Able to develop the interiors of residential and public buildings;
- Design equipment and furniture in the interior;
- Implements sketches and projects for a stylistic solution of the interior in special design programs with 3D modeling;
- Prepared for the design of exposition spaces and visual communications in the interior;
- Perform objects, decorations and elements of monumental and decorative art.
Developed competencies and learning outcomes:
CC 1. General Cultural Competence
- Possession of a culture of thinking, including the ability to generalize, analyze, and perceive information;
- Ability to construct logically correct, reasoned, and clear oral and written communication;
- Ability to use regulatory and legal documents in professional activities;
CC 2. Information and Technological Competence
- Knowledge of the fundamentals of general construction, installation, and finishing work;
- Proficiency in modern technologies for carrying out finishing works and interior decoration techniques aimed at creating an integrated functional and artistic environment;
- Proficiency in the basics of project documentation development and computer modeling.
CC 3. Artistic and Design Competence
- Proficiency in compositional form creation and three-dimensional modeling;
- Proficiency in methods of ergonomics and anthropometry;
- Ability to develop comprehensive design projects of the object–spatial environment of interior spaces for various functional purposes, as well as products and artistic complexes;
CC 4. Research and Design Competencies
- Ability to study and generalize practical experience and apply it in teaching specialized disciplines;
- Application of scientific research methods in the development of design projects;
- Development of the ability to organize acquired knowledge for studying the processes and patterns of the design and creative process;
- Ability to analyze and plan project-based and creative professional activities, as well as to develop algorithms for the implementation of design projects.
CC 5. Subject-Specific Competencies (Theory and Practice of Design)
- Proficiency in integrating theory and practice;
- Ability to develop a project concept to solve a design task;
- Consider the characteristics of materials, taking into account their form-forming properties, when developing an artistic concept.

LO4. Uses the fundamentals of drawing and painting, techniques of special graphics, composition principles, and laws of color harmony in interior design;
LO5. Possesses skills in designing design objects using modern computer technologies;
LO6. Designs interior design objects to create a comfortable and accessible living environment;
LO7. Takes into account the artistic concept in interior design, as well as the characteristics and properties of various modern finishing materials;
LO8. Creates design projects in accordance with functional, aesthetic, structural-technical, economic, and other fundamental requirements;
LO9. Possesses scientific research methods in design studies, academic writing skills, and techniques of modeling and presentation mock-ups of interiors.
